After recent reports that SummerSlam 2021 would take place on a Saturday, WWE has confirmed the date for The Biggest Party of the Summer.
WWE has announced that SummerSlam will air on August 21. Celebrating the announcement, WWE tweeted:

It was previously reported by Andrew Zarian and WrestleVotes that SummerSlam would take place on Saturday, August 21. This is a surprising date for the pay-per-view, as SummerSlam will now clash with the Manny Pacquiao vs Errol Spence Jr boxing card.
