WWE has revealed their lastest NXT Injury Report which includes updates on two NXT stars. Lio Rush and Austin Theory both appeared on NXT this week and both suffered injuries (kayfabe or otherwise).
Rush opened this week’s show with an NXT Cruiserweight Championship match against the champion Jordan Devlin. The report disclosed that Rush dealt with a possible fracture of his nose and orbital bone and would be reevaluated when the symptoms died down.
Theory, on the other hand, was beaten down by Tommaso Ciampa. Ciampa interrupted Theory’s pre-match theatrics to cut a promo on Johnny Gargano. When Theory got in his way, Ciampa threw him into the barricades multiple times.
He is now said to be dealing with back contusions and spasms. Theory will face Ciampa on NXT next week.
It may be a while before Rush is seen on NXT again. He does not have an ongoing storyline and with WrestleMania weekend in sight, all available tv time will likely be focused on the main angles.
