For the first time since the WWE Network’s inception in 2014, WWE has announced that a deal has been signed with a new streaming provider.
Since 2014, WWE was working with BAMTech, now called Disney Streaming Services, but that deal ended at the end of 2018 and WWE chose not to renew, and, as first reported by Variety, is moving over to Endeavor Streaming.
Vince McMahon said in a public statement regarding the switch:
“Endeavor Streaming’s best-in-class technology enables us to offer more features, elevate the user experience and provides us even more opportunity to delight our fans around the world.”
In addition, a new partnership with Massive Interactive, which is a user-interface design firm, coupled with the Endeavor Streaming deal, is “part of our evolving strategy to own more of the WWE Network technology stack” according to an official WWE statement.
This news comes just after the revelation that it seems monthly price of a WWE Network subscription could soon be rising to $10.99, but no such change has been confirmed as of yet.
