WWE
A former champion has compared the current landscape of WWE to the iconic Attitude Era, calling it “the biggest and best we’ve ever had it.”
The Miz made an appearance on Fox5 Las Vegas to promote WWE’s return to the region for next year’s WrestleMania 42.
With the April 18 & 19 edition of WrestleMania returning to the Allegiant Stadium for a second year, The Miz was on hand to promote the 2026 WWE Premium Live Event.
Speaking on Fox5 Las Vegas, The Miz addressed the shift from arena shows to stadiums for events other than WrestleMania, saying:
“It’s unbelievable, it’s unreal. I remember a time we were in arenas.
“Now, it’s not just WrestleMania in stadiums, but we had SummerSlam in a stadium two nights as well.”
It wasn’t just the bigger venues that caught the attention of The Miz, with the recent ESPN and Netflix deals also a testament to WWE’s popularity, as he stated:
“It’s so popular right now with Netflix and ESPN, and also being on USA for SmackDown, it’s incredible.
“And our roster is as deep as it gets, it’s as deep as it’s ever been.”
ESPN recently aired its first WWE PLE under the new deal, with Wrestlepalooza taking place on September 20.
All this brought The Miz to reflect upon the current WWE, comparing it to the well-remembered Attitude Era that took the company from the 20th Century into the 2000s, explaining:
“I remember people always saying, ‘There’ll never be a time like the Attitude Era.’
“Right now is that time, it is the biggest and best we’ve ever had it, and WrestleMania 42 is gonna be unbelievable.”
While WrestleMania 42 may be taking place in Las Vegas, the venue for the 2027 WWE PLE was recently confirmed as Riyadh in Saudi Arabia.
