A current WWE star has teased leaning into Attitude Era ‘edginess’ in new comments about his controversial storyline.
Dominik Mysterio was already hated by WWE fans before betraying on-screen love interest Rhea Ripley in favor of Championship rival, Liv Morgan.
However now, fans continue to have a reason to follow the storyline – to find out what else happens between Liv and Dom.
Speaking about the ‘edginess’ of their story, Dominik Mysterio told the New York Post:
“People still want that edginess we would get back in the Attitude Era but the innuendos and the little things here and there is more than enough because people want to keep tuning back in to see if we do ever cross that and see if does happen.
“Maybe it will, maybe it won’t. Things can still happen. We’ll see what the future holds.”
The pair will look to settle their feud with Ripley at this Saturday’s premium live event WWE Bash in Berlin.
At the event, a mixed tag match featuring Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest teaming together to take on Dirty Dominik Mysterio and Liv Morgan.
WWE Raw moving to Netflix in January is something that could pave the way for the “edginess” to return even more.
Triple H has already stated that rules on things like explicit language will be less strict from that point onwards.
