WWE Star Reveals How New Creative Process Works Under Triple H WWE

WWE’s Austin Theory has opened up about the current creative under Triple H, revealing the opportunities to “have ideas” and “make tweaks.”

Theory signed with WWE in August 2019 and would initially appear on NXT which was then under the leadership of Triple H.

He would make his main roster debut in March 2020 before returning to NXT in August of that year.

The WWE Draft of 2021 would see him brought up to Raw going on to be a protege of Vince McMahon as well as eventually losing his first name.

The two-time WWE United States Champion recently appeared on the Battleground Podcast and talked about the current creative process, saying:

“There’s a lot of opportunity for us superstars to make tweaks, make changes, have our own ideas and them not be shut down; them actually having the opportunity to be looking at and say, ‘Well, maybe we could go somewhere with this.’ Or, ‘Ah, that’s not really the plan, but that might have something to it.’

“So, it’s very hands-on, but it’s also very, it being the creative – it’s very creative for all of us. Because we’re all being able to create.

“When it comes to what we do as sports entertainers, professional wrestlers, is showing our art. So, that creativity is so important for us to have in our own hands. And I feel that way now that we do have it.”

Cody Rhodes has previously praised the Triple H-led creative process in WWE, noting the Chief Content Officer’s “world-champion instincts“.

With Shawn Michaels heading up WWE NXT creative, Carmelo Hayes has also spoken about Triple H’s creative “calm and cool” approach compared to the “passion and emotion” of Michaels.
