WWE Star Wants To Welcome John Cena Back To WWE Raw WWE

A WWE champion wants to welcome John Cena back to WWE Raw on March 6 after having quite the weekend himself.

Austin Theory retained his WWE United States Championship at WWE Elimination Chamber on February 18.

Following this, at the post-show press conference, he issued an open challenge that was answered by WWE Hall of Famer Edge.

The match, which took place on the February 20 episode of WWE Raw, saw Theory once again retain against The Rated-R Superstar.

With news that John Cena is set to return to WWE on the Road to WrestleMania, Theory spoke on this in a WWE Digital Exclusive (that can be seen below this news story), saying:

“The headlines now, they certainly read Austin Theory is the now and the forever of the WWE.

“That little John Cena thing, two weeks away, Monday night Raw, John Cena, I can’t wait for that.

“I can’t wait to bring him home and give him a warm, warm welcome to Monday night Raw.

“You want to know why? Because things are a little different around here now. Now, the now. Remember that.”

It had previously been reported that Cena had filmed content backstage at WWE SmackDown on December 30.

In early February, Dave Meltzer stated that Cena vs Theory was ‘locked in’ for WrestleMania 39 in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

AEW’s AR Fox has recently spoken about his feeling towards Austin Theory, reflecting on how proud he is of the current United States Champion that trained.

Cody Rhodes also spoke on John Cena as “the ultimate role model” in an interview and the “Cena Rule” that he has taken to The Nightmare Factory wrestling training school.
