There has been an update on the apparent babyface turn of one WWE NXT star on tonight’s episode as he refused to cheat to win.
There was a Heritage Cup match on tonight’s NXT pitting Charlie Dempsey against Lexis King.
With Dempsey having the No Quarter Catch Crew (Tavion Heights, Wren Sinclair and Myles Borne) in his corner for the bout, King had a very interesting corner man of his own.
Dempsey’s own real life father William Regal was in the corner for Lexis King, and in the end, would attempt to offer King a big advantage.
At one point in the match, Regal would offer King brass knuckles from the corner, but King actually declined them.
Shouting at Regal, “I am not my father”, Lexis King seemed committed to taking the righteous path, but it ultimate cost him as he lost the match shortly thereafter.
Elsewhere on tonight’s episode of WWE NXT, Tony D’Angelo got a frustrated voicemail from a former WWE star who pledged to meet him in Philadelphia next week.
