There is potentially an injury coming out of tonight’s WWE Backlash 2025 premium live event at the Enterprise Center in St Louis, Missouri.
UPDATE: During the post-show press conference, Triple H said McIntyre was “a little banged up but totally fine”.
The opening match of the night saw Jacob Fatu retain the United States Championship in a four-way against Drew McIntryre, Damian Priest and LA Knight after receiving seemingly unsolicited help from Solo Sikoa and the debuting Jeff Cobb.
The match essentially became one-on-one between Fatu and Knight after McIntyre and Priest brawled around the arena.
Their brawl resulted in a South of Heaven chokeslam from Priest, with both men falling from an elevated platform down through a table on the floor.
However, McIntyre may have suffered an injury, as his head seemingly missed the table.
PWInsider reports that McIntyre was being checked out by WWE medical after the match and is being “evaluated” as of this writing.
We’ll keep you posted if any further updates emerge.
