John Cena attacked R-Truth during the official WWE Backlash 2025 premium live event press conference after tonight’s show.
Truth – who has been in denial about Cena being a heel and has still referred to Cena as his “childhood hero” – got involved in the Cena vs Randy Orton main event.
Truth entered the ring and prevented Orton from striking Cena, which in turn helped Cena retain the Undisputed WWE Championship.
During the post-show press conference, Triple H was answering questions when he was cut off by Cena who asked to make a statement.
Cena then pledged to be better at fielding questions from the media going forward and was set to answer some, but he was interrupted by Truth.
Truth said he “never gave up” and has always believed in Cena, “even if people say you suck and can’t wrestle”.
Cena then replied, “Ron, that was over the line. If you say one more thing, there will be repercussions.”
Truth was in fact about to reply as Cena hoisted him up and landed an Attitude Adjustment through the table, as you can see below.
