At tonight’s WWE premium live event, WWE Backlash, find out who won the night’s final bout between Cody Rhodes and Brock Lesnar.
With the night’s “co-main event” featuring Cody Rhodes finally getting to get his hands on Brock Lesnar after his post-WrestleMania 39 betrayal, the pair would start out hot!
While Brock was still greeting the crowd on his entrance, Cody took to the skies to attack!
The match was hard hitting throughout as both behemoths went to war, with a point mid-match where Lesnar became busted open and began to spill blood throughout the ring.
In the end Brock Lesnar had Rhodes in a vicious looking Kimura Lock, it was not in the cards for him to gain a victory via submission.
Rather Rhodes outmaneuvered Lesnar, able to quickly roll him up, get the pinfall victory and quite literally roll away.
Rhodes legitimately rolled out of the ring, immediately went up the ramp and disappeared backstage without a great amount of pomp and circumstance.
Perhaps the exit (and Cody’s copious clutching of his arm) was meant to signify that while Rhodes may have squeaked by with a victory, the war between the two was not yet over.
