WWE announced via Twitter that Bayley is set to battle Ruby Riott before Backlash on Sunday.

It’s certainly an interesting addition to the card, as Bayley and Riott do not have any sort of program going in. In fact, their only connection is through Sasha Banks, who came up short against Riott on Monday’s Raw.
Perhaps the context for this match will be Bayley trying to do what her ex-best friend/current best friend/rival/ally… what was I saying? Oh, right, perhaps Bayley is trying to prove her superiority over Banks by beating Riott: something the ‘Boss’ could not accomplish on Raw.
In that match, Bayley did not come out to help Sasha even the odds. Instead, Banks fell victim to the numbers game and lost, while Bayley was absent from the scene. Will “The Hugger” meet the same fate? Or will Sasha try to revive their friendship by helping her against the whole of the Riott Squad?
For a match with no build or heat, there is a lot that can happen here.
