Having been backstage at WWE Worlds Collide on June 7, a former star has revealed their new role in the company.
It was previously reported that Savio Vega was backstage at the show that featured talent from WWE and AAA.
The report would state that Vega would be serving as a producer on the show, having previously appeared at Backlash in May 2023.
Vega has now confirmed that it wasn’t a one-off appearance in a backstage role during a recent appearance on the Ten Count Media podcast.
Confirming he is working as a producer with WWE for AAA, saying:
“Well, yeah, I’m working as an agent with the company, with this project so, all this is gonna be the big move with the company and them.
“AAA’s gonna become full with WWE. So, let’s see what happens. We go step by step.”
Vega would note that he’s happy to operate behind the scenes, but didn’t rule out an on-camera appearance, stating:
“I’m happy with being back and working with this talent… I’m working for WWE, you know, on this project… I’m gonna be as a producer.
“Hope something happens (in-ring-wise). Anything could happen.
“You there, you’re still alive so you’re good for something. So, I believe if it’s there, I’m welcome. Why not?”
Savio Vega debuted as Kwang in January 1994, being reintroduced under his more familiar name in May 1995.
WWE recently announced two Supershow Mexico events, which you can read more about right here.
