WWE Backstage Reaction To Clash At The Castle Rope Issues WWE

Following the PLE in Scotland, a new report has revealed WWE’s backstage reaction to the Clash At The Castle rope issues.

At WWE Clash At The Castle, various stars experienced issues with the ropes that led to some botches and slips.

In particular, World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest got caught in the ropes on a dive outside the ring in his title defence against Drew McIntyre in the main event.

Meanwhile, Jade Cargill slipped on the top rope when she attempted a springboard attack in the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship match. There were other minor issues in about every match on the card.

Fightful Select (subscription required) provided an update, noting that a WWE source chalked up the issues to the ropes in Scotland and bad luck when asked about the number of slips during the show.

The report notes that the company are not particularly concerned about any rope issues moving forward at this time.

It’s worth noting that there were no rope issues for talent during the June 17 edition of WWE Raw.

WrestleTalk will provide any further updates on WWE Clash At The Castle when they become available.
