WWE Star Weighs In On Bad Bunny & Paycheck Bookings WWE

A WWE star has weighed in on celebrity booking and their belief that it’s different for Bad Bunny, the host of Backlash.

Big E made a recent appearance on the Battleground Podcast and spoke about Bad Bunny’s recent appearances in WWE along with his thoughts on celebrity appearances in general.

Addressing big name appearances, the New Day member said:

“I’m not knocking any celebrity who comes in, takes a paycheck, and does what they’re asked, that’s fine.

He would then turn his attention to the award-winning rapper Bad Bunny, saying:

“But you can tell with him, it’s so much more than that.

“He’s a guy who truly loves this. I think pro wrestling was his first love and grew up watching WWE.

“For me, it’s so dope and amazing to see someone like him, who is a massive, massive star, and comes in so humbly and so energetically to do what we do.

“He’s come in and worked incredibly hard and his passion for this.”

Bad Bunny is set to host WWE’s return to Puerto Rico on May 6 for the premium live event Backlash.

He made his WWE debut in 2021 at WrestleMania 37 where he would team with Damien Priest to take on The Miz and John Morrison.

Of this match, Big E noted:

“I saw an interview, I think it was for Carpool Karaoke, where he said the WrestleMania match, I think he described it as ‘the best day of his life.'”

Bad Bunny would also be a surprise entrant in the 2022 Royal Rumble.

He is next set to appear on the April 24 episode of WWE Raw.

Damien Priest had a message for Bad Bunny on the April 21 episode of WWE SmackDown.
