WWE star R-Truth has reacted to Baron Corbin’s return to NXT on the May 30 episode, questioning why the free agent showed up on Tuesday’s show.
During the episode, Corbin attacked NXT Champion Carmelo Hayes following his match against Noam Dar.
The show went off the air with Corbin holding the NXT Title while standing over the unconscious champion.
While Corbin is able to appear on any show he wants due to his free agent status, these actions still don’t make sense to R-Truth.
Confused, R-Truth took to Twitter to ask:
But why? 😤🤬
Truth hasn’t wrestled since suffering a torn quad in his match with Grayson Waller on the November 1, 2022 edition of NXT.
A previous report indicated that R-Truth is expected to be out of action for most of 2023.
Corbin was not the only main roster star who appeared on the May 30 episode, with Mustafa Ali also making an appearance during the Wes Lee & Tyler Bate vs. The Dyad match.
This episode dealt with the fallout from NXT Battleground, with took place on May 28.
The results from that special were as follows:
North American Championship – Wes Lee (c) def. Joe Gacy, Tyler Bate
Heritage Cup Championship – Noam Dar (c) def. Dragon Lee thanks to interference from Oro Mensah, Jakara Jackson and Lash Legend
Last Man Standing – Ilja Dragunov def. Dijak
NXT Tag Team Championship – Mark Coffey & Wolfgang (c) def. Brutus & Julius Creed
NXT Women’s Championship – Tiffany Stratton def. Lyra Valkyria
NXT Championship – Carmelo Hayes (c) def. Bron Breakker
But why? 😤🤬
