The WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2023 ceremony takes place on March 31 with Batista as a name thrown into the mix.
It has been reported that this year’s class will have a total of five inductees, with Rey Mysterio headlining.
Two other names have been confirmed with Andy Kaufman and Great Muta being part of the select group.
Batista is another name that has been thrown into the mix, having been announced for the Class of 2020.
That year’s WWE Hall of Fame ceremony would be cancelled, leading to no induction for Dave Bautista.
He would say that he is “trying” to be inducted as part of the Class of 2023 when he spoke to Comicbook.com in a recent interview.
PW Insider has now provided an update as to whether we’ll see Batista in the Hall of Fame this year.
According to PW Insider, Batista is currently in South Africa filming the new My Spy movie.
Their report states that isn’t logistically possible for him to be physically in Los Angeles for the upcoming Hall of Fame.
Since leaving WWE, Batista has carved out an impressive acting resume.
For those who don’t remember the first My Spy film, the trailer can be seen below this news story.
