
Fans of WWE’s Batista will soon be able to see him on the big screen after his upcoming action movie landed an autumn release date.
Trap House sees Dave Bautista reunite with Stuber director Michael Dowse, with a script from The Fast and the Furious writer Gary Scott Thompson and The Hitman’s Bodyguard writer Tom O’Connor.
As reported by Deadline, Aura Entertainment is setting a November 14 release date for its first movie release, Trap House.
The movie sees Bautista caught in a plot that revolves are a team of elite DEA agents whose teenage children employ their parents tactics to rob a drug cartel.
The wayward teens bring surveillance, infiltration and a host of non-lethal weapons to proceedings as they seen to take down the ruthless bad guys.
Joining Bautista in the action movie are Jack Champion (Avatar: The Way of Water), Sophia Lillis (It), Tony Dalton (Better Call Saul), Whitney Peak (Gossip Girl), Kate Del Castillo (Cleaning Lady), Zaire Adams (FreeRidge), and Bobby Cannavale (Ant-Man).
The WWE star also serves as producer for the project as well as playing one of the undercover DEA agents as they play cat-and-mouse against the teens.
CM Punk has recently revealed that he has Hollywood plans that may see him work with Batista.
