WWE Star Renames Championship

A WWE star has doubled down on their pitch to change the name of a current championship to better reflect the sheer size of the title.

Since recapturing the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship from Maxxine Dupri on this week’s Raw, Becky Lynch has been vocal on social media about her latest success.

With a role in the upcoming Star Trek: Starfleet Academy series, Lynch has also gone space-themed with the suggestion that the title should be the ‘Galactic Championship‘.

A recent post has seen the two-time WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion reiterate her pitch for a name change to the title in a new Tweet, reading:

“WE MADE IT BIGGER!!! WE MADE IT BETTER!!! WE MADE IT OUT OF THIS WORLD!!!

“I AM PROUD TO BE YOUR INTERGALACTIC CHAMPION, and I will BOLDLY take this CHAMPIONSHIP where NO ONE has gone BEFORE!!!”

The suggestion that the championships “even bigger” comes from the Screen Rant article reporting that Lynch had walked the red carpet at the Star Trek: Starfleet Academy premiere carrying the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship.

At the time of writing, Raw General Manager Adam Pearce is yet to address a possible name change for the title.
