A WWE star has promised that receipts are coming to two stars following the betrayal that took place at WrestleMania 41 on April 19.
Following the events of Survivor Series: WarGames in November 2024, a favor was owed by Paul Heyman to CM Punk, with details of that emerging in April 2025.
With CM Punk main eventing Night One of WrestleMania 41 against Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns, it was revealed that Heyman would be in his friend’s corner as opposed to that of the Tribal Chief.
Neither CM Punk or Roman Reigns would walk out of WWE WrestleMania 41 with the services of Paul Heyman, however, with Seth Rollins finding himself an advocate.
CM Punk has now addressed the latest betrayal by Paul Heyman in comments made in an interview with Deadline.
Reflecting on past betrayals and promising that “receipts” will be coming in Heyman’s future, contemplating whether the chair shot or betrayal was more painful, Punk said:
“Heyman has betrayed me before. We’ve been friends for a very long time, and friends fight.
“Since he’s betrayed me before, he knows how this plays out. He knows there’s receipts coming for him, too.”
“The betrayal and the mental pain, I think, are worse than the physical. I almost wish he would’ve done all that and stuck with Roman, because going with Seth was the real pain. But you know what? Seth needs him.”
Discussing the chairs in further detail, CM Punk would also consider how the shots from Roman Reigns changed the complexion of the match with more receipts seemingly to come, noting:
“Yeah, everything changed, the complexion of the match changed there. Maybe that’s why my back hurts? (Laughs)
“It’s funny when you go through a match like that, and while it’s happening, you’re thinking, “Okay, that one’s gonna hurt tomorrow morning,” but you forget unless it’s some big traumatic thing that severely injures you.
“You just reminded me he hit me with a chair, so he’s got receipts coming.”
Heyman has since addressed his betrayal of both Roman Reigns and CM Punk, denying he betrayed the Tribal Chief and calling his former friend a “sh**ty best friend“.
Seth Rollins hasn’t remained quiet, either, talking about his “business relationship” with Heyman, Reigns not being present enough and Punk not being reliable enough.
Heyman’s collective has also grown, with Bron Breakker added to the group on the WWE Raw after WrestleMania.
