WWE Backstage Reaction To Bianca Belair & Naomi SmackDown Segment Revealed

The WWE backstage reaction to Bianca Belair, Naomi and Jade Cargill’s big segment on SmackDown has now been revealed.

With Jade Cargill returning to attack Naomi at Elimination Chamber, Bianca Belair appeared on the March 7 SmackDown episode seeking answers.

This led to an emotional in-ring segment, during which Naomi confessed to attacking Cargill back in November.

While Naomi argued that she was trying to protect Belair, the EST left the ring alone, allowing Jade Cargill to make her entrance to attack Naomi once again.

Per Fightful Select, Belair and Naomi’s promo segment received ‘heavy praise’ from those they spoke to in WWE.

The report noted that TJ Wilson (Tyson Kidd) was listed internally as a producer for the segment, with Ioannis Fillippides credited internally as the writer for the segment.

One longtime WWE employee reportedly noted that this segment felt like the first time Naomi had the opportunity to be highlighted in a promo with so much substance, believing that Naomi ‘excelled’ with this opportunity.

Bianca Belair reportedly received heavy praise for her reaction, with Jade Cargill, the writing, producing and camera work also heavily praised.

‘At least a half dozen people’ from WWE who Fightful talked with spoke highly of the segment, with one WWE employee responding privately to a tweet from Sean Ross Sapp, praising the camera work when Cargill arrived specifically.
