WWE To Officially Make Big Change To Faction? WWE

A big change for the Legado Del Fantasma faction could be made official on upcoming episodes of WWE TV.

Ahead of WrestleMania 39 on the March 31 edition of SmackDown, Rey Mysterio formed a ‘New Latino World Order’, handing LWO shirts to Santos Escobar, Joaquin Wilde, Cruz Del Toro and Zelina Vega.

It was initially unclear whether this gimmick would be temporary, or if the group would now be referred to as the new LWO.

Per WRKD Wrestling, there has been backstage talk about potentially permanently dropping the ‘Legado Del Fantasma’ name.

WRKD Wrestling tweeted:

Discussions have taken place which would see Legado Del Fantasma transition away from their old name and become known full time as the LWO.

Santos Escobar and the rest of the faction have been aligned with Rey Mysterio in recent weeks, with Rey feuding with his son Dominik Mysterio.

At WrestleMania 39, Rey defeated Dominik in singles action.

Rey Mysterio and Santos Escobar are set to team up to face off against Dominik & Damian Priest on SmackDown.

An update recently emerged on WWE creative ahead of this week’s SmackDown, which you can read more about right here.
