WWE has revealed a big change to the company’s Saudi Arabia Premium Live Event plans for both 2025 and 2026.
With the exception of the COVID-19 pandemic effected 2020 and 2021, WWE has held two PLEs in Saudi Arabia per year since their deal with the country began back in 2018.
However, according to TKO CFO Andrew Schleimer that tradition is set to change for 2025 and 2026.
Speaking during the 2024 TKO earnings call, Schleimer revealed that WWE is currently planning to hold just one PLE in Saudi Arabia in 2025, while three are expected in 2026, including the already announced Royal Rumble in Riyadh.
Schleimer said:
“Our guidance for 2025 includes one PLE in Saudi Arabia, compared to two PLEs in 2024. This results in an unfavorable impact to our 2025 plan of approximately $55 million of total company revenue.
“We expect to host three PLEs in Saudi Arabia in 2026, including Royal Rumble.”
There has not yet been any news on what specific events WWE has planned for 2025 and 2026, but we will provide further updates when details become known.
2024’s Saudi Arabia WWE PLEs included King & Queen of the Ring in May and Crown Jewel in November.
