Big E Names WWE Star Who Deserves To Be World Champion WWE

Big E named the WWE star who he feels deserves a top championship run in the company and it’s a fellow member of New Day.

It was recently reported that Big E had been advised by spine specialists to not step back into the wrestling ring after his injury in March 2022 that saw him undergo surgery.

While he’s been away from the ring, he has been a busy man, being involved in WWE tryouts, landing a movie role, and recently revealing he’s being considered for a color commentary role.

Still very much involved in what’s going on in WWE, Big E recently spoke to Ten Count and revealed his pick for world champion gold.

Choosing fellow New Day member Xavier Woods, Big E explained:

“Yeah, no that’s something that obviously, you know, he’s so so talented, it’s something that we’ve been pushing for and I just think he’s a guy who – people know how talented he is but I still feel like in many ways he’s still one of the most underrated guys on the roster. He’s still so incredible, so worthy and deserving.

“So I always want the best things for both my partners but Woods is definitely a guy who I think is – I’d love to see him get a real run at a singles title.

“I know he’s been talking about the I.C. Title as of late and then going from there. But yeah, I’d love to see him be a world champion, he’s deserving.”

Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston returned to WWE television on the August 7 episode of Raw, defeating Erik & Ivar of The Viking Riders.

Having not appeared since May 2023 prior to that, Woods discussed his time away from our screens as a “good little reset“.
