R-Truth’s career beyond WWE has seen him build up an extensive discography as a rapper, with his new genre album taking the charts by storm.
While fans may know R-Truth for spitting bars, his August 7 album release saw the real-life Ron Killings take on the country music genre.
“The White Album” (available on Spotify) sees Killings bring his own take on the country music genre.
The WWE star’s fourth album has made it into the Billboard Country Albums chart, taking the number 10 spot.
The achievement was celebrated in a post on the corporal_ak_music Instagram account, and shared by R-Truth, with the message:
“🗣️COUNTRY MUSIC HAS A NEW SOUND,NEW ENERGY AND A NEW TEAM OF ELITE INDIVIDUALS
“PLAYTIME IS OVER TEAM RKE LETS GOOOOOOOOOOO “
While the album can be heard on Spotify, it is also available to buy digitally using the “Pay What You Want” model via EVEN.
For a brief period earlier this year, R-Truth was preparing for life outside WWE,with the star announcing his exit on June 1.
R-Truth would return at WWE Money in the Bank on June 7, later giving himself a new look and presenting a new character under his real name.
More recently, R-Truth has reunited with his ‘childhood hero’ John Cena, who has also undergone his own personality change recently and has spoken about that moment and how it came about organically in a recent interview.
