A former WWE star has reflected on their February 2025 release, sharing their thoughts on the current roster after WrestleMania 41.
Having signed with WWE in June 2021, Davenport would be one of a number of stars released in February 2025.
During a recent Twitch stream, Davenport reflected on her release, saying that she believes it was just WWE budget cut related, stating:
“I was part of a big release… I think it was just budget cuts to make up their contracts.
“I don’t have any negative feelings or anything like that. It’s just the job isn’t it, it’s the business. It’s just the way it goes really.”
The real-life Bea Priestley would go on to talk about returning to her roots and future hopes, saying:
“I’m excited for what’s coming in the future, I’m excited to kind of get back to my roots a bit and do my own thing again.
“I did love doing stuff in Japan, I loved doing stuff in the UK, and I’m excited to actually do the indies in America, because I’ve never actually really done the indies here at all.
“So yes, I’m excited for the future. Don’t be upset for me, it’s fine. It’s the job isn’t it. It’s the way it goes.”

Looking at the current WWE women’s roster, Priestley reflected on their successes, particularly at WrestleMania 41, explaining:
“But I’m really happy for all of my friends who are still there. Obviously Lyra, she’s one of my best friends, just had a massive WrestleMania moment and she’s only been in the company on the main roster since I was, so that’s huge for her.
“Same with Tiffany, really happy for Tiffany that she’s getting a big spotlight. And then I’m excited for people like Roxanne, Cora, all those up and coming girls who are very obviously gonna get called up any day now. And Giulia of course, Giulia’s my drinking buddy. So I’m very excited to also see how my friends do. Piper as well, Piper was my road trip buddy.
“But yes, excited for the future, you guys will definitely still see me wrestling somewhere or other. So yes, don’t worry. I’m not gonna disappear forever.”

Prior to signing with WWE, Priestley signed with AEW and competed in NJPW, Stardom, Progress Wrestling and for the short-lived WOS Wrestling.
While WWE gold may have eluded her, she is a former Goddesses of Stardom and Artist of Stardom Champion and held the SWA World Champion.
In July 2024, Priestley married WWE NXT star Riley Osborne, with the pair having been engaged in December 2023.
