WWE Star Hopes For Future Face Turn

WWE Star Hopes For Future Face Turn WWE

A WWE star has admitted they are more comfortable playing heel, but hope that a babyface run is in their future.

Shortly after her debut in June of this year, Blake Monroe established herself in WWE as a heel, a role she was more than comfortable with during her time in AEW as Mariah May.

With the star continuing to be a regular fixture on NXT, she has now shared her hopes that a babyface turn could happen.

Revealing that “timing is everything” while speaking with Busted Open, Monroe discussed past challenges when it comes to being face, saying:

“In my limited experience, I feel like I’ve always been rejected as a babyface.

“Timing is everything, you don’t know, in three years they might be like ‘we love her’, and they love all the things that aren’t generically babyface about me.

“I think I’m a better heel. Like I said, I love a challenge, and one day I hope to be a babyface, but also in the better stories I’ve ever told, I’ve always been the bad guy.”

Her “bad guy” persona paid dividends in AEW thanks to her feud with Timeless Toni Storm, with the then-Mariah May going on to be Women’s World Champion.

She has recently revealed why she chose to leave AEW after her contract expired and why she signed with WWE.

Monroe has also spoken about the main roster stars she would like to face in WWE after an eventual call-up.
