A current WWE champion has given their reaction to Blake Monroe (Mariah May)’s WWE debut, saying they thought she was Tiffany Stratton.
Former AEW Women’s World Champion Mariah May made her debut on last week’s episode of WWE NXT, when she appeared at the end of NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne’s promo segment.
Mariah appeared on the platform at the WWE Performance Center, announcing that the Glamour had finally arrived to NXT, though her name was not mentioned during the segment.
On last night’s episode of the show, Mariah’s new ring name was made official, with her now set to go by the ring name ‘Blake Monroe’ in NXT after her arrival.
Prior to last night’s show, NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne appeared on Busted Open Radio, where she gave her initial reaction to Blake Monroe’s WWE debut.
Jacy noted that she initially thought that Monroe was Tiffany Stratton, before noting that she is excited for her arrival, and wants to see if she can hang with the NXT women’s division.
Monroe is set to officially sign her NXT contract on next week’s episode of the show.
Next week’s show will also see the start of a series of eliminator matches, with the winner set to challenge Jacy Jayne for the NXT Women’s Championship at Evolution.
