WWE Bloodline Championship Update With Member Absent

WWE Bloodline Championship Update With Member Absent WWE

There was a potential change-up in the Bloodline tonight on WWE SmackDown as one member was missing in their initial appearance on the show.

In their first appearance on tonight’s WWE SmackDown, one member of Solo Sikoa’s new Bloodline was missing when they came to the ring to address Cody Rhodes.

In the night’s opening segment featuring Cody Rhodes revealing his pick for his Bash in Berlin opponent (Kevin Owens), he was also interrupted by the Bloodline.

However, flanking Solo Sikoa and carrying the WWE Tag Team Championship belts were Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa.

Notably, Tonga Loa did not win the WWE Tag Team Championship last week, as it was the team of Tama Tonga and Jacob Fatu that won the title from DIY.

Jacob Fatu was noted by Triple H to be “banged up,” in the WWE SummerSlam post-show press conference, however no official reports regarding his status have been divulged.

As it stands, it’s unknown if Fatu will be out for an extended period of time, and if he is, whether that means Tonga Loa will be stepping in and filling his spot as WWE Tag Team Champion – all we know so far is that tonight, he was carrying the belt.

WWE is working towards crowning new #1 contenders for the WWE Tag Team Championship tonight, meaning a Bloodline title defense is planned for the not-too-distant future.

Still to come on tonight’s SmackDown, an appearance by Roman Reigns as the ‘Original Tribal Chief’ has returned for the first time since WrestleMania 40.

This article will be updated in the event Jacob Fatu makes an appearance later in SmackDown as it remains possible his absence in the opening segment is a red herring.
