A former WWE star has opened up about the possibility of a return to the company following their release in August 2021.
Before becoming a part of WWE, Bobby Fish had already made a name for himself in Pro Wrestling Noah, Ring of Honor and New Japan Pro-Wrestling.
Fish would join WWE in 2017, appearing in NXT as part of the Undisputed Era alongside Adam Cole, Kyle O’Reilly and Roderick Strong.
Following his departure from WWE, Fish would appear in All Elite Wrestling and reformed reDRagon with O’Reilly only to leave AEW in August 2022 when his contract expired and was not renewed.
From September 2022, he would be a member of the Impact Wrestling roster but would leave the company months later and return to NJPW.
Speaking on the Going Broadway podcast, Fish spoke about his free agent status, saying:
“At the moment I am a free agent, so I can pop up literally anywhere and everywhere.
“Which is kinda cool, because it’s not been that way for like a decade.”
Asked if he would be interested a return to WWE, Fish noted:
“I mean anything’s possible at this point.
“I’m enjoying the freedom and not entirely sure what’s to come.
“Not having to ask permission or get clearance to do something — this interview at a time a year ago would’ve had to have been cleared — so it’s just nice as a bill-paying adult to not have to ask permission.”
In WWE NXT, Bobby Fish held the NXT Tag Team Championship as part of Undisputed Era on two occasions with the quartet being able to contest the belt under Freebird Rules.
