A WWE legend who is on commentary for NXT’s premium live event on Peacock, premium live event, has broken down in tears live on the air.
On tonight’s NXT premium live event NXT Deadline, the first match of the night was the inaugural winner of the Iron Survivor Challenge.
With the first of two landmark matches occurring to kick off the show, the NXT women’s division showcased their best and brightest.
One of those? Eventual winner Roxanne Perez.
And after Perez won the inaugural special match type, there was a very strong emotional reaction from one of the commentars.
Booker T who has known Roxanne Perez in a coaching capacity for many years (after she attended his Reality of Wrestling school) actually broke down in tears.
What is being touted as a “proud Papa moment,” it makes sense that Booker T may be overcome with emotion as he witnesses the exceptional rise of Roxanne Perez in WWE.
Another proud star? Bayley who posted a snap to Twitter of backstage at an WWE live event, the monitor of the ring on one side with Roxanne Perez winning the Iron Survivor Challenge on another next to it.
