WWE Hall Of Famer Praises NXT Star Working Through Injury WWE

A WWE Hall of Famer has praised an NXT star for working through an injury to complete a recent championship match.

On the recent NXT Spring Breakin’ special, Indi Hartwell sustained an injury during her NXT Women’s Championship title defense against Tiffany Stratton and Roxanne Perez.

The injury was thought to be so severe that an impromptu title change could have taken place as a result.

WWE NXT commentator and Hall of Famer Booker T recently discussed the injury on his Hall of Fame podcast, revealing:

“Indi was just in position, but I wouldn’t even say it was a bad position or anything like that, it was just something that happened.

“For her to suck it up, you could see in the ring that she was debilitated.

“That leg, she couldn’t even straighten it out, but she sucked it up because she knew how important it was as far as being in that moment, being champion in this business.

“Those moments don’t come along too often.”

During the match, highlights of which can be seen below this news story, Hartwell was taken backstage after medical staff inspected her leg following an awkward landing from Stratton that caught Hartwell’s right leg.

She was able to return to the match to complete it and retain her championship.

She would share a photo of her injury on social media,

Hartwell was recently called up to the main roster during the WWE Draft.
