Former WWE Champion Bray Wyatt was pulled from WWE’s Madison Square Garden show that took place last night (March 12).
Wyatt was originally advertised for a lights out match against LA Knight, but instead Knight had a match with Braun Strowman.
Wyatt did reveal on social media in early February that he’d suffered some kind of finger injury, but had continued working dark matches with Knight throughout the month.
However, he hasn’t had a match since February 26, and hasn’t even appeared live in front of the crowd on TV since before Elimination Chamber which was February 18.
Even in his absence, WWE has been building towards a Wyatt vs Bobby Lashley match at WrestleMania 39, though it hasn’t officially been announced yet.
Lashley has yet to interact live with Wyatt, but did lay out Uncle Howdy (Wyatt’s real-life brother Bo Dallas) earlier this month.
The original plan was for Wyatt to face Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania, but Lesnar rejected that idea and instead approved a match between himself and Omos.
We’ll let you know any updates if there’s more to the story of Wyatt not being present at MSG, but there are no further details as of yet.
