Former WWE Name Exposes Issues Of Writing For ‘Genius’ Bray Wyatt WWE

A former WWE name has called Bray Wyatt “underutilized” and a “freaking genius”, highlighting the issue of writing for him.

Vince Russo made the claim during his appearance on the Oh You Didn’t Know podcast, saying:

“I feel, my opinion, that there are people that are being underutilized,” Russo said. “And I think it’s like simple things.

“I think Bray’s a freaking genius.”

Highlighting the issue that WWE writers face where there’s a ‘disconnect’ between what the fans experience and what actually happens, Russo would go on to say:

“I worked with a great roster, I worked with great individuals, but what they don’t understand is I had to feed them every week.”

Russo would go on to explain the difficulty of writing at a quality worthy of the high-calibre talent like Bray Wyatt who works at a “genius level.”

Road Dogg would also comment that that level of star expects to be given “gold”.

They would both agree that one of the things that many wrestling misunderstand is the challenge of writing a three-hour live wrestling show on a weekly basis.

It was recently revealed that Bray Wyatt had a “physical issue” that caused him to pull out of his WWE Raw appearance at Madison Square Garden on March 13.

In an update on the implications Wyatt’s issue has on his WrestleMania 39 match, Dave Meltzer today commented that the match against Bobby Lashley is “still on” with Wyatt due “back very soon.”

Bobby Lashley released his own statement on social media following the news of Bray Wyatt’s absence from WWE Raw.

On the March 3 episode of WWE SmackDown, Lashley came face-to-face with Uncle Howdy.
