An update has emerged on WWE’s schedule, following speculation that the company could be set to break a big holiday season tradition.
One of the mainstays of WWE’s post-Christmas tour is the December 26 house show. This event, which kicks off the WWE Holiday Tour, traditionally takes place at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
WWE has now announced the return of Saturday Night’s Main Event, with the NBC special set to take place on December 14 in the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Long Island, New York.
With this event slated for New York, there has been some speculation that WWE has cancelled or moved the MSG show.
Per PWInsider, there is still a live event scheduled for December 26 at Madison Square Garden.
This event will reportedly be announced in due time.
Last year’s MSG show was headlined by a World Heavyweight Championship match, with Seth Rollins defending the gold against Drew McIntyre.
