WWE Bringing Back Another WCW Event?

According to some new trademark filings with the USPTO, WWE could be looking at bringing back another old WCW event.

On May 4, WWE filed two separate trademarks for ‘Bash at the Beach’, after already filing one in March last year.

The timing of this is interesting but probably coincidental as that was the day before AEW had Blood & Guts which they couldn’t call WarGames.

AEW did have a Bash at the Beach in January 2020, but after WWE’s trademark in the months that followed, had to call this year’s January special Beach Break instead.

The new filings were made with the following descriptions, which imply it could actually just be for merchandise purposes:

Toys, namely, action figures, accessories therefor; dolls; cases for action figures; toy wrestling rings; toy vehicles; board games; hand-held units for playing electronic game other than those adopted for use with an electronic display screen or monitor; tabletop action skill games; playing cards; puzzles; stuffed toys; plush toys; toy belts; knee and elbow pads for athletic use; toy foam hands; costume masks; costume masks; novelty face masks; Christmas tree decorations

Clothing, namely, tops, shirts, jackets, sweatshirts, hoodies; outerwear, namely, coats; bottoms, pants, shorts, underwear, dresses, pajamas, lingerie, clothing ties, scarves, gloves, swimwear; Halloween and masquerade costumes; footwear, namely, shoes, sneakers, slippers, flip flops, boots; headwear, namely, hats, caps; wrist bands as clothing; bandanas
