The Royal Rumble is one of the most exciting nights in the wrestling calendar, with many surprises appearing during the match.
We now know one independent name that will be in San Antonio for the Royal Rumble this year, though he won’t be appearing in the match.
Fightful Select (subscription required) is reporting that young independent wrestler Jason Cade is set to to work with the company as a producer.
The report specifically, notes that Cade is set to help with the upcoming 2023 women’s Royal Rumble match.
Fightful notes that WWE producer Tyson Kidd (TJ Wilson) was instrumental in helping get Cade to come in. Cade has previously trained alongside Kidd and Natalya in the past.
The report notes that they have not been told if Cade’s role will be full-time, a trial, or a test run.
Cade hasn’t worked as an active performer for a while, but has a lot of experience wrestling matches on WWE Raw, NXT, 205 Live, AEW, ROH, IMPACT Wrestling, GCW, MLW, EVOLVE and multiple independent companies in the past.
