The No. 1 Contender to the Intercontinental Championship Tournament starts on the August 26 episode of WWE Raw.
Bron Breakker defeated Sami Zayn for the Intercontinental Championship at WWE SummerSlam on August 3, 2024, having been unsuccessful against Zayn at July’s Money in the Bank.
The rematch between the pair took place on the August 12 episode of WWE Raw, with Breakker retaining in a Two Out Of Three Falls match that can be seen below this news story.
With the announcement of the upcoming tournament to decide the number one contender, we now have insight into where this will all lead for Bron Breakker.
It has been reported by Viper Reports that the current plans will see Breakker defend his gold at WWE Bad Blood in Atlanta, Georgia. This means that WWE will have over a month to build to Breakker’s next title match.
As previously reported, WWE Bad Blood is making a return to the PLE calendar after an absence of twenty years on October 5, 2024.
The main event for the show is ‘currently planned’ to be Drew McIntyre vs CM Punk in a Hell in a Cell match.
As for the Intercontinental Title tournament, none of the participants have been confirmed as of yet.
