There was reportedly “internal concern” over the reaction to Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed’s WWE Raw betrayal of Seth Rollins.
Breakker, Reed and Paul Heyman turned their backs on Seth Rollins on the October 13 episode of WWE Raw, with Paul Heyman siding with the duo.
While the angle may have been to write Rollins off television due to injury, it has now emerged that Breakker and Reed have been subject to concerns leading to a creative decision.
According to TC of WrestleVotes, there was concern within WWE that Breakker and Reed would be cheered by the crowd after turning on Rollins, which played into their decision to remove them from the World Heavyweight Championship number one contender’s battle royal:
A source I spoke with this week told me there has been internal concern that Bron Breakker & Bronson Reed would receive babyface fan reactions following their turn on Seth Rollins, which played into the decision to exclude them from the Battle Royal on #WWERaw last week.
That Battle Royal would see Jey Uso victorious, leading to his match against CM Punk at the upcoming WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event.
Along with Dominik Mysterio, Breakker was recently named as one of the “next faces of WWE” by The Miz.
It has also recently been reported that WWE have plans to place the World Heavyweight Championship on Breakker in the future.
