After a four-month absence, Brooks Jensen has suggested a new WWE theme ahead of his return match on the July 16 episode of WWE NXT.
Jensen made his return on this week’s WWE NXT having been previously banned from shows only to be an uninvited nuisance in recent weeks.
During his absence from WWE NXT, Jensen appeared at his father former WWE star Bull Buchanan’s Bull Pen Pro Wrestling promotion as part of his storyline of frustration over how he’s been used in NXT.
One of his frustrations appears to be the choice of entrance music, with a fan noting:
“Remember when NXT was so lazy they gave Brooks Jensen a WWE 2k20 theme 😭😭”
In response to this, Jensen replied by tweeting:
“You get why I’m p**sed now. Should’ve went my Separate Ways.”
His mention of ‘Separate Ways’ alludes to the Journey song that Jensen used in a WWE NXT dark match at Halloween Havoc in October 2023.
He would face Oba Femi, the current NXT North American Champion, before the October 31 Night 2 Halloween Havoc episode of NXT in an untelevised match, but clips surfaced online of Jensen’s entrance with that song.
Separate Ways (Worlds Apart) was released by Journey in January 1983 with a remixed version featuring in the Netflix series Stranger Things.
