Prominent WWE Name Opens Up About Getting WrestleMania Balance Right WWE

A prominent WWE name has opened up about the challenge of getting the balance of WrestleMania right in the eyes of the fans.

The main event of WrestleMania 39 saw Cody Rhodes face Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship only to be unable to unseat the Tribal Chief after weeks of build up.

This booking decision led to much criticism from many corners, with Triple H responding to the choice in the aftermath of the show.

Now WWE Executive Director Bruce Prichard has addressed the difficulty of striking a balance at WrestleMania on his Something to Wrestle podcast, saying:

“Different people look at WrestleMania in different ways. Some people look at it as the end. Some people look at it as the beginning. So, there’s a lot of both.

“You try to have that variety where you’re not just ending stories, but you’re starting new ones, and that’s that fine line that you have to walk to make sure that, ‘Alright, you’re gonna build something up for the big climax, and we also have to build something up for the first one where you want to see a lot more of that going further.’ So it’s a Catch-22.”

Paul Heyman has also commented on the decision to have Reigns triumph over Rhodes at WrestleMania.

Rhodes is currently involved in a feud with Brock Lesnar that will take them to Night of Champions.

Here’s a recap of what happened on the May 8 episode of WWE Raw:
