Butch Teases Return To Old Gimmick Under Triple H WWE

WWE star Butch has teased a return to his old gimmick, with Triple H now in charge of WWE creative.

Since Triple H was named the new head of creative, we’ve seen revitalised versions of Dakota Kai, Karrion Kross, Scarlett, Dexter Lumis and Top Dolla, Ashante ‘Thee’ Adonis and B-FAB return to our screens.

On Twitter, ‘Pete “BUTCH” Dunne’ has shared a photo of himself and Ridge Holland attacking Oney Lorcan (Biff Busick) and Danny Burch on the September 7, 2021 edition of NXT.

Fans have speculated that Butch will return to his Pete Dunne ‘Bruiserweight’ gimmick following Triple H taking charge, however Dunne has indicated that he’ll maintain his alliance with Holland.

The former NXT UK Champion joined forces with Holland and Sheamus on the March 11 edition of SmackDown, officially introduced to the main roster as ‘Butch’.

Raw star Doudrop recently confirmed talks on a possible name change with the new WWE regime, which you can read more about right here.

Butch’s most recent televised match was against Drew McIntyre on the July 8 edition of SmackDown, ahead of Vince McMahon’s WWE departure on July 22. He faced Drew Gulak in a dark match before the August 12 show.
