WWE has announced via it’s Japanese website it has had to cancel the upcoming house show tour of Japan due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The announcement reads:
“Unfortunately, we will not be holding the ‘WWE Live Japan’ scheduled for July 2nd (Thursday) Edion Arena Osaka and July 3rd (Friday) and 4th (Saturday) Yokohama Arena this year. Tickets will be refunded from June 8th (Monday) 10:00 to July 12th (Sunday) 23:59.”
It’s annual tradition for WWE to head over to Japan in the summer, so it’s a shame that won’t be able to happen this time around.
In terms of wrestling over in the Land of the Rising Sun, although nothing is official yet, NJPW is reportedly expected to restart operations in the next couple of months.
