A former WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion has discussed a potential return while reflecting on her current circumstances.

Carmella exited WWE in February after her contract expired, bringing an end to an almost twelve-year career that also saw her hold the Women’s Tag Team Championship.

Currently expecting her second child with Corey Graves, Carmella has recently opened up about a potential WWE return, either in a wrestling capacity or in a non-wrestling role, like one she previously served in while injured or pregnant.

Speaking on the It Girl podcast, Carmella revealed that, while she wouldn’t rule it out one day, a return to WWE isn’t in her current plans, saying:

“So I don’t right now (have any plans to return to WWE). I’m in my mom era and I love it.

“Never in a million years did I think I would enjoy being at home and being a mom more than working and hustling, but I feel like I did that for so long.”

Carmella would go on to share how she is enjoying her current life having been in the “grind” of WWE for more than a decade, explaining:

“The grind in WWE is so hard, it’s like, we don’t have an off season, you’re on the road 52 weeks a year, and for the first time in my life, I’m enjoying just a slower pace of life.

“I am really enjoying it, and I think eventually I would love to go back (to WWE) at some point, so never say never.”

Following her WWE exit, Carmella admitted to be “a little upset and hurt“, going on to note that she felt she would return at some point.

She would also reveal a scrapped pitch that would have seen her work with Pretty Deadly (Kit Wilson & Elton Prince).
