Top WWE Star Lands ‘Recurring Role’ In TV Series WWE

WWE star CM Punk has been announced for an upcoming TV series, amid his in-ring absence, and amid speculation about his return.

Per Variety, Punk has joined the cast for Revival, an upcoming horror series on Syfy. It was noted that Punk has been cast in a “recurring role”.

The series follows a local police officer who has to deal with a personal murder mystery in rural Wisconsin, where

The official description of the show reads:

 “On one miraculous day in rural Wisconsin, the recently deceased suddenly rise from their graves. But this is no zombie story as the ‘revived’ appear and act just like they once were.

“When local officer and single mother Dana Cypress (Scrofano) is unexpectedly thrown into the center of a brutal murder mystery of her own, she’s left to make sense of the chaos amidst a town gripped by fear and confusion where everyone, alive or undead, is a suspect.”

Punk hasn’t wrestled since Bad Blood on October 5, when he defeated Drew McIntyre in a Hell in a Cell match to conclude their rivalry.
