A former women’s champion has named WWE star Asuka as a dream opponent, following a recent in-ring clash.
Known for much of her career as Natalya, the former SmackDown Women’s Champion recently brought her hard-hitting persona of Nattie to WWE Raw.
A recent outing for Nattie saw her compete in a women’s Elimination Chamber Qualifying Triple Threat against Bayley and Asuka.
While Asuka may have progressed to the women’s Elimination Chamber match on February 28, Nattie has reflected on their February 16 match on WWE Raw.
With a fan noting the intensity between the pair and hoping they would ‘run it back one more time’, Nattie declared it would be a dream match, tweeting:
“Nattie v Asuka just a dream match of mine”
While there has yet to be a singles match between Asuka and the “Nattie” character, Natalya has crossed paths with Asuka several times in WWE, with their last one-on-one encounter taking place in February 2020, on Raw, with Asuka being the victor.
To date, Natalya has yet to beat Asuka in singles action, on either television or WWE Live events, with their first match taking place back in 2016 for the NXT Women’s Championship.
