A WWE star has congratulated Drew McIntyre, following his Undisputed WWE Championship win on SmackDown.
A Three Stages of Hell match headlined the January 9 edition of SmackDown, with Cody Rhodes defending the WWE Championship against Drew McIntyre.
The Scottish Warrior was ultimately victorious, with McIntyre escaping the steel cage to win the third and final fall, with Rhodes distracted by the returning Solo Sikoa.
A former WWE Champion has taken to Twitter to congratulate the new titleholder, sharing a message for “Big D”.
Kofi Kingston wrote:
“BIG D!! No matter how many times he’s beaten down, he ALWAYS rises to the occasion & endures! He’s never needed anyone to stroke his ego, orgas him up! What comes from all that hard work?
Championships! The Undisputed WWE Title to be exact! Congrats Drew McIntyre!”
Prior to the Steel Cage stage of the Three Stages of Hell match, Drew McIntyre had won the singles match stage, and Cody Rhodes had won the Falls Count Anywhere stage.
