Congratulations are in order for a current WWE Champion, who has today announced the birth of their first child.

Back at NXT Stand & Deliver, Tony D’Angelo finally captured the NXT Championship for the first time, picking up the win in a four-way against Joe Hendry, Ethan Page and Ricky Saints.

Tony has been part of the NXT roster since his debut in 2021, with him recently shedding the skin of the D’Angelo Family, but he is now forming his own D’Angelo Family off television.

Taking to social media today, Tony D’Angelo shared a photo with his new born son, his first child together with his wife.

He said:

We send our congratulations to Tony D’Angelo and his family ahead of this exciting new chapter in their lives.

Tony D’Angelo’s WWE Main Roster Future

While most of his contemporaries from NXT 2.0 have already made their move up to Raw and SmackDown, D’Angelo remains in NXT, with him arguably the top star in the men’s division, reigning as the NXT Champion.

D’Angelo is a Grand Slam Champion in NXT, with him having reigns as the NXT, North American and NXT Tag Team Championships, as well as the now defunct NXT Heritage Cup.

With a new influx of faces to the NXT roster such as Naraku, Mason Rook and potentially Mike Santana, we could soon see D’Angelo’s reign come to an end and him make the move up to the WWE main roster.

It seemed as though D’Angelo was set to move up to Raw or SmackDown last year after he was written off television following the implosion of the D’Angelo Family in the Summer of 2025, though he has now found his footing as a more complete, serious version of himself.

In recent years, we have seen less and less gimmicky wrestlers on the main roster, so the change to D’Angelo is much needed should he look to achieve success under Paul Levesque.

While it’s unlikely we see D’Angelo one day become WWE or World Heavyweight Champion, he will definitely make for a fun midcard act on Raw or SmackDown, even potentially uniting with his friend Bron Breakker in the Vision as the group looks to return to former glory.
