In one of the most WWE booking decisions in recent memory, Brock Lesnar won the WWE Championship at the Day 1 PPV by winning a match he wasn’t originally supposed to be in.
Lesnar pinned former champion Big E to win the belt, and now has his sights set on a new opponent according to Dave Meltzer.
Meltzer reports that the plan is now for Lesnar to feud with Bobby Lashley, and that’s why the Fatal-5-Way match at Day 1 was booked in the way it was.
Fans have been desperate to see the two former MMA stars go head to head in a WWE ring, and there’s no doubt this will be a feud to remember if booked correctly.
Meltzer also noted that despite Roman Reigns testing positive for Covid-19 and his match with Lesnar being cancelled, the plan is still for Lesnar and Reigns to do battle at some point in the future, with the most likely setting being WrestleMania 38.
For now however, we can enjoy watching two meat mountains beating each other up in the name of entertainment.
