WWE Champion Cody Rhodes Reacts To Ricky Saints NXT Title Win

Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes is among the names to congratulate Ricky Saints on his NXT Title win at No Mercy.

Saints defeated Oba Femi in the No Mercy main event to win the NXT Championship tonight in the only title change of the show.

Cody Rhodes and Ricky Saints have a well-known friendship going back to their AEW days, where Rhodes effectively brought Saints (then Ricky Starks) in during his TNT Championship open challenge series.

Following Saints’ win tonight, Rhodes had a simple message, writing:

“Champ Rick”

Other friends of Ricky Saints on the WWE roster have congratulated him as well, including Jade Cargill, who posted:

Love to see it! 💪🏽

Former WWE Women’s Champion Bayley also voiced her excitement, posting:

RICKY DAAWWGGGHHHHH!!!!!!

The win marks Saints’ second championship reign since joining WWE and NXT in February, having held the North American Championship in April and May.
